Abstract

The authors investigate the effect of losses on an interacting quantum gas and identify a divergence of the energy increase rate. The authors explain several mechanisms that could lead to a regularization of the divergence and point out that a standard Lindblad master equation leads to incorrect divergences in the time evolution of the energy of the gas.
