Abstract

Flooding is one of the most significant types of natural disasters in terms of human impacts and economic losses [1, 2]. The consequences of a flood encompass multiple types of damage, such as environmental losses and economic damage. The loss of human life is one of the most important consequences of flooding, and it is therefore important to take into account the loss of life. This contribution summarises some of the available information on loss of life due to flood events [3, 4].
