Abstract
This article discusses autobiographical texts recounting the traumatic experiences of two Ugandan ex-girl child soldiers. The textual thematics convey the trauma and losses that the authors experienced while caught up in the rebelled, masculinized, adult wars where the girls were both victims and perpetrators. The narratives expose the gender dynamics of violence against girls in war situations.
