Abstract
En este artículo se reflexiona sobre losrelatos de vida para conocer condicionesestructurales, posicionesde clase social y mecanismosobjetivos de funcionamientode ámbitosespecíficos de actividadhumana. En la primeraparte se retoman aportesde Daniel Bertaux sobrelas características de losrelatos de vida y sobre latécnica de graficar trayectoriaslaborales y educativasfamiliares en árbolesgenealógicos. Luego, apartir de un ejemplo deinvestigación empírica sobretrayectorias de claseen Buenos Aires, se destacanlas posibilidades queexhibió la aplicación deestas técnicas y algunosatributos adicionales a los que habían sidoseñalados por Bertaux.
