Abstract

The text analyzes the Art. 258 of the Constitution of 1812, which contained the mandate to prepare the new codes for Spanish territories, according to a triple approach: prominence of parliament, unity and uniformity of the resulting law, ramification or specialized nature of its discipline, paying attention to the Penal Code and the draft of the Civil Code and criminal instruction.
