Abstract
The authors construct an absolute (Lorentz-invariant) topology of the electromagnetic field that transcends the boundary between space and time. For a resonant slit grating, they observe null straight lines in the plane wave region, rounded rhombuses in the interference region inside the grating, and a fractal pattern in the evanescent field region where the light funneling occurs.
