Abstract
It is shown that, in the exact SU(3) limit and under plausible assumptions, the matrix elements of the SU(3) axial-vector currents taken between two hadron states at rest form a closed algebra isomorphic to SO(9, 3). Some remarks are made on previous results for SU(2) axial-vector currents.
