Abstract

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has issued a final rule requiring prescription drug plans in Medicare Part D to include, in their published drug prices, the expected value of all fees deducted from pharmacy reimbursement. These are the direct and indirect remuneration fees about which there has been such long-standing argument. What is the effect of this final rule?
