In our study, we demonstrated no difference between suSAVR and stented SAVR in terms of 30-day complications, apart from marginally better hemodynamics, but with an increased rate of pacemaker implantation (PMI)and valve-related hospitalizations. 2 Lam K.Y. This ad hoc analysis of the Evolut Low Risk Trial confirmed what we have previously known about suSAVRs. Deployment is quick and hemodynamics are favorable, but there is a disadvantage of increased rates of permanent pacemaker implantation (PPMI).2 Importantly, this ad hoc analysis sheds a light on the Evolut Low Risk Trial itself, which may demonstrate some problems.
