Abstract

Malignant melanoma is a rare lesion in children. Because of its similarity to benign juvenile melanoma, only those lesions with histologically proven metastases can be unquestionably identified as malignant melanoma. Few cases of long-term survival in such patients have been reported. We wish to report a case of long-term survival after diagnosis of metastatic melanoma with gross tumor present and growing for many years.
