Abstract
AbstractThis chapter has a historical character. It is devoted to the contribution of the main ball lightning researchers. From it, one can learn about the role of M. Faraday, M.V. Lomonosov, F. Arago, N. Tesla, P.L. Kapitsa, Ya.I. Frenkel, S. Singer, etc., in the formation of research on Ball lightning (BL) and modeling of long-lived luminous formations (LLO)—artificial BL. It provides data on groups of modern researchers of BL and LLO.
