Abstract

Increasing access to a broad range of contraceptive methods including long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) onsite in New York City (NYC) School-Based Health Centers (SBHCs) is a primary goal of the School-Based Health Center Reproductive Health Project (RHP). Prior to the onsite availability of LARC methods SBHCs were dispensing a full range of short-acting contraceptive methods (oral contraception injectable ring patch) and were referring patients for LARC methods to community-based clinics participating in the RHP Referral Network.
