Abstract
In the framework of the extended Edelen-Kadić gauge model of defects the electronic properties of isotropic materials with continuously distributed vortex-like disclinations are studied. It is found that both deep and shallow-level electron states strongly localized in a region of a core of disclinations may appear depending on the core radius and the density of conducting electrons.
