Abstract

Ross procedure has been used for over 40 years in the surgical management of irreparable aortic valve disease in children. Little clinical long-term information is available regarding the durability of the autograft in the aortic position and the pulmonary conduit substitute. Moreover, there is no fully established methodology to perform time-to-event data meta-analysis. The aim of study was to develop a new methodology to perform such meta-analysis and therefore pool the long term results of paediatric Ross procedure.
