Abstract
Background: The maxillary retrusion is a prominent feature of the facial deformity that is frecuently observed in patients who have been treated for unilateral cleft lip and palate. Speech therapists say that having an early stage surgical repair of the cleft palate produce highly satisfactory results in terms of articulation development and language.
