Abstract
Note from the editors of Voprosy ekonomiki: The General Annual Meeting of the Department of Economics of the USSR Academy of Sciences was held on March 12, 1979. Academician N. Fedorenko, academician-secretary of the department, reported on the work performed by the department's scientific institutions in 1978 and on problems scheduled for the current year and the long run.
