Abstract

Long persistent light emitting diode indicators for emergency indication were made by coat long persistent nanophosphors. During light down conversion when electrical power is available, photons were stored in the nanophosphors. When the electrical power is shut off, the persistent afterglow emission from the nanophosphor can extend the indication time for another 10 hours. White light is produced by using UV LED and green and blue nanophosphors.
