Abstract

Background: Significant role in the pathogenesis of hypoxic status is given to the hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF). One of the likely mechanisms for regulating the HIF signaling pathway is long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs). These molecules represent a significant part of the transcript and perform numerous regulatory functions at transcriptional and posttranscriptional levels.
