Abstract

We evaluate a long distance weak annihilation contribution to the decay rates of the B± → (K±, Π+)ℓ+ℓ- (rare processes. Despite a visible kinematic leptonic universality violation is obtained in the low q2 region, its effect almost disappears in the region of interest for the Rk anomaly. We show that sizeable CP asymmetries are obtained when short and long distance prescriptions are taken into account in different energy intervals.
