Abstract
Lumbosacral disc disease and sexual dysfunction are two non-lethal health entities that are common and decrease quality of life of patients. With interruption of communication between the brain and the penis, erectile dysfunction should be expected. However, there are very limited data on the interaction of lumbosacral disc disease and sexual functioning. The aim of this review is to highlight the association between lumbosacral disc disease and sexual dysfunction and to overview the diagnosis and treatment options for this subset of patients.
