Abstract

Logo is a learning computer language which is tuned for interesting applications. It is user friendly, easy enough for secondary school students to use, and powerful enough for any project. Logo aided modeling is a tool that can be integrated into secondary school mathematics courses to supplement and enhance instruction in a variety of content areas. Much needs to be done to develop materials that enable students to learn from and allow teachers to examine the cognitive impact of learning from using simulation-modeling software. The purpose of this paper is to present a few computer programs, written in Logo, that illustrate the Logo modeling approach and its implementation on microcomputers in a classroom setting.
