Abstract

The constant growth of SMEs marketers in Peru, has generated that logistics management becomes a key point to increase profitability margins, since by not knowing if the customers can get what they need when they need, a low level of service is obtained. The case under study was carried out at a footwear distributor in Metropolitan Lima. A model of five tools is proposed: 5 S, Demand forecasting, Cyclical inventory, Systematic layout planning and Work standardization. Finally, a simulation is developed to demonstrate the improvement in the service level from 55% to 70%.
