Abstract
Comrade Li Lisan and I became acquainted with each other in Montargis, France, in 1920, The Hunanese youths then in France in the work-study program included Li Lisan, Cai Hesen, Xiang Jingyu, Cai Chang, Li Fuchun, and Xiang Jiguang. Most of them were doing make-up work in French. In June of that year Comrades Xiao San, Chen Shaoxiu, and I arrived in France, with Comrade Chen and myself going to Montargis. Since all of us were from the same province, relations among us were very warm when we met in this foreign country.
