Abstract

This study discusses the interaction between localized structures, the formation of their bound states, and their dependence on the amplitude of refractive index modulation. All numerical and analytical calculations are performed in the limit where the wavelength of the refractive index modulation is much smaller than the optical wavelength. In addition, the analysis is restricted to the pattern forming regime where the cavity detuning is negative, and at perfect atomic resonance.
