Abstract

A 25-year-old male consulted his physical therapist for bilateral clavicular pain and midclavicular masses that began after performing repetitive power clean lifts approximately 3 years prior. Clinical assessment of muscles, nerves, and joints did not reproduce the patient’s pain. Due to the patient’s dissatisfaction with the aesthetic appearance of the midclavicular masses and inability to perform his desired workouts, the patient was referred to a sports medicine physician for further workup. Magnetic resonance imaging findings characterized the swelling as a benign abnormality. A surgical procedure to excise the prominent soft tissue was performed.
