Abstract

In this paper we give a construction of a position operator for massive particles in the relativistic quantum mechanics. This construction is performed in the framework of a nonstandard synchronization scheme in the special theory of relativity. Operator constructed in this way is hermitean; has commuting components; fulfills canonical commutation relations with momentum operators; is covariant; has covariant eigenstates.
