Abstract

We obtain the local existence and uniqueness of solution to the relativistic Vlasov–Poisson system in Besov space, extending the non-relativistic result to the relativistic case. Weaker regularity is required for the initial datum by optimizing the commutator estimates related to the field. Commutator estimates associated with relativistic velocity are proved by dyadic decomposition of the frequency space and the decreasing properties of Bessel potential.
