Abstract

Multiferroic Bi0.815Eu0.085La0.1FeO3 with rhombohedral structure is synthesized using the solid state method from high-purity metal oxides in air. The hyperfine magnetic fields and quadrupole and isomer shifts on 57Fe nuclei are investigated at temperatures of 87, 295, and 600–700 K by Mossbauer spectroscopy. Three nonequivalent magnetic trivalent high-spin states of iron ions exist in this perovskite at 295 and 87 K. It is also established that there is no spatial spin-modulated structure in Bi0.815Eu0.085La0.1FeO3.
