Abstract
In the present paper, we show the local non-stationary nature of brain waves from demented persons by reconstructing various stochastic processes of averaged local quantities, e.g., fractal dimension, mean, variance, skewness and kurtosis. The characteristic random dynamic features of their local quantities are discussed in the two-dimensional (2D) phase space. The availability of their local non-stationary nature for diagnosing senile dementia is also discussed.
