Abstract

Sensitive and specific hCG assays and ultrasonography frequently permit early diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy. Consequently, many patients with tubal pregnancy are now seen before tubal rupture, and preservation of the affected tube is an issue for those who wish to preserve fertility.
