Abstract

Over the past decade, China has experienced a remarkable economic transformation, characterized by rapid growth and a growing awareness of environmental sustainability. By analyzing the period from 2010 to 2021, we seek to shed light on the strategies that different regions have adopted to address the challenges of economic expansion within the context of environmental responsibility. Utilizing quantile regression analysis, this research examines the multifaceted dynamics between economic growth, resource utilization, and environmental preservation. Preliminary findings reveal a complex interplay: certain areas achieved both economic growth and sustainable resource use, whereas others faced challenges in maintaining this equilibrium. Ultimately, this study sheds light on the diverse strategies employed by Chinese regions to achieve local green economic growth while navigating the intricate landscape of natural resource development. The insights gleaned from this research contribute to a deeper understanding of the intersection between economic progress and environmental stewardship in China.
