Abstract

In this chapter we will extend the method of Chap. 7 to the swimmers in a fluid described by the 2D and 3D Navier–Stokes equations. Since the implicit generalized Fourier series representation for solutions, employed in Chap. 7 for the linear non-stationary Stokes equations, is not an option for the nonlinear Navier–Stokes equations, we will elaborate on a more general scheme of proofs, already mentioned in Sect. 7.5.
