Abstract
AbstractThe distribution function of hot electrons in a static, slowly in space varying electric field is calculated. This distribution function is used to obtain a phenomenological expression for the current density. The transport coefficients are presented as local functions of the field strength, drift velocity, or power absorption. The connection of different local approximations is discussed.
