Abstract

DC microgrid is getting more concern in the modern microgrid, due to its capability to integrate Distributed energy resources (DERs) and less complex city and control issues. Nevertheless load sharing is a major issue in DC microgrid. Droop control is considered as the most popular method for load sharing control in DC microgrid, while there may be tradeoff between load current and voltage regulation. The Proposed method is based on virtual $\mathbf{R}_{droop}$ , where optimum value of $R_{droop}$ is selected based on droop index calculation. This Droop index calculation effectively reduces the load current deviation and voltage regulation issues also resolves circulating current issues and reduces power losses in converters. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified and analyzed using Matlab simulation.
