Abstract

Tensile and load relaxation tests as a function of temperature were performed on zircaloy-4 tubing with applied stress in the direction of the tube axis. The phenomenological model, based on Hart's plastic equation of state, was capable of describing a portion of the load relaxation data. The effects of strain aging and deformation twinning are discussed, based on the same data.
