Abstract

Results are presented of experimental examination of the strength and endurance of smooth cylindrical circular shells in cyclic loading with internal pressure with a constant amplitude in uniaxial and biaxial tensile loading. It is shown that the level of fracture stresses in these shells in the biaxial stress state can be evaluated using the criterion of static strength on the basis of a fatigue curve constructed in uniaxial tensile loading.
