Abstract

This paper describes the abstract of our new refrigerated container monitoring system with LAN.The refrigerated container monitoring system is designed for monitoring running conditions of the containers. In the ordinary systems, multiplexed data transmission method has been applied. However, a large amount of wires are required to implement it. In order to reduce amount of wires, we have developed a new refrigerated container monitoring system called UMS-35 II K. In this UMS-35 II K, terminal units of LAN are installed inside of the container's receptacle boxes, and are connected by multi-drop method. In addition to this, these terminals have interfaces directly connectable for container monitoring signal, and are implemented into smaller boxes.
