Abstract

The paper addresses the problem of pole placement control for continuous-time linear systems under control of dynamic output controllers. Sufficient conditions for design feasibility are outlined in terms of linear matrix inequalities and equalities for a prescribed D-stable circular region in the open left-half plane. In addition it is proven that by this way formulated pole placement problem is equivalently uttered using a quadratic constraint being added to Lyapunov function. The proposed design principle is generalized in an enhanced form giving the possibility to solve this task.
