Abstract

Kuresellesmeye paralel olarak artan ticaret hacmi, ulkeleri yeni rekabet politikalari uretmeye zorlamaktadir. Bu kapsamda uretilen rekabet politikalari arasinda liman ozellestirmeleri onemli bir yer tutmaktadir. Liman ozellestirmeleri ile liman kullanicilarinin rekabet ustunlugu elde etmesi hedeflenmektedir. Bu calismada, bir rekabet politikasi olarak liman ozellestirmeleri cercevesinde Mersin limani ozellestirme oncesi beklentiler ve sonrasindaki geceklesmelere yonelik algilar, derinlemesine gorusmeler ve belge incelemesi veri toplama teknikleri ile belirlenmistir. Liman ozellestirmesinin, etkin ve rekabetci bir liman yaratmak ve ulusal kalkinma hedeflerini desteklemek adina neredeyse bir zorunluluk oldugu yonunde gorus birligi bulunmaktadir. The privatization of state ports take a significant part in these competition policies. The privatization aim for the beneficiaries to have advantage in competition. In this work it is emphasized as a competition policy in the frame of port privatization. The expectations before the privatization of Port of Mersin and the perceptions after the realization are studied. In depth interviews and document examination data collection techniques are used. In order to create an efficient and competitive port and support national development aims, it seems that there is a concencus on port privatization is a must.
