Abstract

Background: Dengue is an arthropod-borne viral disease causing more than 50 million infections with ∼25,000 deaths annually, mostly children. Severe dengue associated with multi-organ failure and commonest being the liver, from asymptomatic elevated transaminases levels to acute liver failure, dengue has all properties of hepatic illness.
