Abstract

Ritual liturgical practices such as hymnsinging, prayer, and sacred meal provide ways of knowing possible only in the context of liturgical action. Such congregational practices located in body, mind, and heart the knowledge of self as person of faith and knowledge of the God whom one worships. As ways of knowing who and whose we are, hence as means of formation and catechesis, liturgical practices are critical, constitutive, and normative for persons and communities of faith.
