Abstract

Buraczynski, J., 1988. Lithological, mineralogical and geochemical characteristics of loess in the Rhinegraben. Eng. Geol., 25: 201–208. Lithological properties of loesses have considerable practical significance. Together with the origin of the material and the genetic–facial variability they are characterised by granulometry, chemical and mineral composition and textural features. In particular, the clay fraction and carbonate content point to the fraction and carbonate content point to the geotecnical properties of loesses.
