Abstract

X-rays from laser-heated plasmas can expose photoresists in less than a microsecond. Plasma emission above 1 keV is potentially applicable to routine replication of microelectronics and other masks by X-ray lithographic techniques. Intense subkilovolt radiation from laser-plasmas should also be useful for single-shot recording of highresolution radiographs of biological materials.
