Abstract
AbstractThe copolymerization of methyl methacrylate and styrene has been investigated using metallic lithium as an initiator. The unusual composition of the polymer produced does not permit description of lithium as either a classical ionic or radical initiator. A new concept must be adduced to explain the observed results.
