Abstract

The densities, viscosities, electrical conductivities, and Raman spectra of the ammoniate liquid at room temperature are reported. Raman spectra and vapor pressure measurements indicate that is stable for use as an electrolyte below 80°C. Density, viscosity, and conductivity data were collected over the range of temperatures from about 10° to 80°C. Both the viscosities and the conductivities displayed the Arrhenius temperature dependence. The activation energy of ion transport mainly remained constant at 0.26 eV over the temperature range studied.
