Abstract

In article number 1906221, Suqing Wang, Haihui Wang, and co-workers manufacture a free-standing ceramic oxide-electrolyte film with a thickness as low as 25 μm by tape casting and apply it in an all-solid-state lithium battery, giving rise to reduced electrolyte resistance and improving the energy density of the battery. By combining superior materials and manufacturing technologies, lithium batteries with both high safety and high energy density should be successfully realized and produced on a large scale in the near future.
