Abstract
ABSTRACT Since lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) are essential parts of the automotive and electronics industries, high-energy-density LIB electrodes are proving to be an effective option for tackling issues in these domains. Making the right material selection is crucial because of the benefits and drawbacks of various electrode materials as well as the need to improve battery performance. Because of their remarkable electrochemical qualities, nanostructured anode materials have recently attracted a lot of scientific interest. This paper examines the developments and difficulties surrounding nanostructured anodes, encompassing several kinds of nano-architecture for LIB applications. It provides an overview of important topics such the processes of conversion reactions, the features of electrochemical energy storage, the design of nanostructures, synthesis techniques, and the difficulties in enhancing LIB anodes using nanostructured materials.
