In order to better understand the lithium augmentation effect, we chose fluoxetine (FX), an antidepressant with a selective reuptake inhibition of 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) and desipramine (DMI) with its selective reuptake inhibition on norepinephrine (NE).
