Abstract

Abstract Different methods for the interpretation of lithic remains are analyzed in this study. A semantic analysis of the descriptions of types proposed by two prehistorians is undertaken and discussed. The results of the application of different classifications to the same lithic collections are given here, and this experience allows us to affirm that different ways of classification do lead to different conclusions.
