Abstract

LithuanessThis work constitutes an introductory chapter to the treatise on the narrative poem entitled Grażyna written by Adam Mickiewicz. Based on the suggestion found in the Epilogue to Grażyna, I identify the value presented and brought to actual existence in this particular work of Mickiewicz as the value of one’s homeland. Its ontic structure is gradually revealed, along with progressing re-cognition of the subject and decoding the meanings of those further versions of the story which are highlighted by the poet. In this manner, subsequent and separate ontic spheres of the reality of the human world as contributing factors for the analysed process are disclosed. It is possible to enume-rate the following aspects: intersubjective order of observable qualities, psychosocial emotionality, mental sphere of ethical reasons, autotelic nature of human creation, transcendence.
